| | SCIENCE & TECH PARK
The Science + Technology Park at Johns Hopkins is part of an innovative mixed-use community located directly adjacent to the Johns Hopkins medical and research complex. This progressive urban revitalization endeavor combines new homes, shops, restaurants, and more than a million square feet of laboratory and office space in a vibrant, safe environment. The 31-acre Science + Technology Park at Johns Hopkins will offer state-of-the art laboratory facilities and office space, designed to support the research requirements of 30 to 50 corporations and institutions — all with proximity to the minds and resources of Johns Hopkins. The site will provide tenants with networking opportunities with Hopkins' faculty researchers, students, and other scientists. The technology park is being developed by the Forest City Science + Technology Group and the New East Baltimore Partnership as part of the first phase of the New East Baltimore Community. Baltimore's New East Side will eventually comprise an 80-acre, $800 million urban redevelopment effort that combines significant new business activity with new housing and a high level of human services.
